Job Summary:
Coordinate initial student evaluations, encompassing planning meetings through assessments and reporting. Manage and assist with development/implementation of MTSS procedures in two building Student Assistance Teams. Develop behavior management plans and engage directly with students in the implementation of those plans. Work collaboratively with special services team members to support the academic, character, social, and emotional development of learners. Collaborate with Individualized Education Program (IEP) team members to design, coordinate, and deliver direct services for a rigorous and appropriate education for students with disabilities. Participate in regular Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings as an active and engaged professional. Maintain due process paperwork in accordance with District, State, and Federal guidelines. Communicate frequently with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators utilizing all available technological means. Establish and maintain elevated standards for the educational experience provided to students. Assist with the Threat assessment process. Member of district
  • wide crisis response team.
Qualifications:
A current Minnesota Teaching License is required. Demonstrated proficiency in the development and management of student behaviors through direct and indirect instruction. A high level of expertise in due process is required. Demonstrated ability to facilitate productive discourse during IEP meetings. Prior experience working directly with students in a classroom setting is preferred. Effective classroom management competencies. Effective oral and written communication proficiencies. Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving. Experience with curriculum, assessment, and accommodation design. Comprehensive understanding of the role of parental involvement and the ability to effectively collaborate with parent and outside community. Ability to utilize technology as an instructional resource. Experience with Case management of Special Education students. Experience with training staff in Preventative Behavior intervention systems. Leadership qualities to support Special Education Team K-5. Initiate and develop student behavior systems and monitor student progress through data-driven systems. Positive Team member to support/model and implement positive behavior support systems.

Full Year, Full Time BA Step 1 ($49,266) to EdS Step 20 ($105,958)
