Job Description

A cover letter is required for consideration for this position and should be attached as the first page of your resume. The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and outline skills and experience that directly relate to this position. To diagnose and evaluate ADHD and related emotional disorders. Interview and counsel patients or students in clinics and review medical and social case histories. Diagnose emotional and behavioral disorders. Administer and interpret intelligence, achievement, personality, and other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Collaborate with psychiatrists, PhD clinical psychologists, and other specialists in developing patient or student treatment programs. Prepare interpretive patient reports including recommendations. Conduct assessment results follow-up sessions with patients. Process patient care referrals using the electronic ordering system may be required in certain areas. May perform referral review and triaging. Perform other related duties as assigned. Master's degree in educational or clinical psychology. Eligibility for limited licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Michigan Clinical experience working with people with ADHD and other emotional and behavioral disorders. This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment. Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
