Immediately Job Description The school psychologist will work directly with teachers and students to support academic, social, behavioral, and emotional success; collaborate with educators to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students; conduct Special Education evaluations; act as a liaison between and among parents, teachers, and school districts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Master's Degree in School Psychology Meet all state requirements for Certification / License / Approvals Experience in behavior modification/applied behavior analysis, creating Functional Behavior Assessments and Positive Behavior Support Plans Knowledgeable of MARSE eligibility and evaluation procedures. Ability to administer appropriate assessments, interpret results, and provide implications and recommendations. Demonstrate knowledge of Special Education rules, regulations and timelines Ability and experience in working with students of various ages and disabilities, parents, and community agencies in a positive manner Evidence of a positive attitude and human relationship skills Excellent team and interpersonal skills. Possess high levels of adaptability Trauma-informed care experience preferred Assist with the implementation of academic interventions Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures & requirements. Service logs are kept up to date monthly. Appropriate paperwork is completed on time. Completes work within legal timelines. Knowledge of seclusion and restraint procedures, emergency intervention plans and crisis de-escalation Regularly attend required meetings, prepared to contribute Uses data to drive instructional practices, regularly identifies and reviews data that indicate student achievement trends or gaps and uses data to influence planning and interventions. Uses data to make program/service changes. Conducts accurate and comprehensive evaluations, is knowledgeable about each test used, observes student in multiple settings using a clear observation tool, can interpret results, and communicate the results accurately and adheres to MI rules/regulations and makes use of best practice. Clearly explains its purpose, is informative to audience and usually error-free. Collaborates on IEPs with clearly articulated goals that are linked to district standards/curriculum. Includes present level and starting point for instruction. Goals directly connected to individual student needs. Collaborates and engages in reflective inquiry with peers and administrators for the purpose of improving instructional practice and student learning. Contributes to collaborative work. Develops and sustains professional relationships for the purpose of student, staff or district growth. Communicates with parents and guardians about goals of instruction and student progress and uses multiple tools to communicate in a timely and positive manner. Professional role toward adults and students is friendly, ethical, and professional and supports learning for all students, including the historically underserved. Advocates for fair and equitable practices for all students. Understands the legal and ethical constraints in delivering programming/services.
