Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic contract position near Detroit, MI. This full-time opportunity offers an engaging school environment where you'll contribute to students' growth and well-being through direct support and collaboration with dedicated teams. You will work closely with students, families, and educators, utilizing your expertise to help create a positive, nurturing atmosphere. Responsibilities center on conducting thorough evaluations and re-evaluations, actively participating in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) meetings, and providing crucial crisis intervention when needed. Your efforts will play a key role in building strong support systems and contributing to student success.
Key Qualifications:
Michigan School Psychologist Certification (must be current and in hand) Strong background in school-based psychological services Experience performing evaluations and re-evaluations in an educational setting Familiarity with MTSS and collaborative team processes Ability to provide effective crisis intervention and support Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to supporting diverse elementary student populations
Position Responsibilities:
Manage and conduct assessments for elementary students, including initial and re-evaluations Attend and contribute to MTSS meetings, providing valuable insights for student interventions Assist with crisis intervention as situations arise, supporting the well-being of students and staff Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to develop effective strategies for student growth This contract position offers a competitive hourly compensation that ranges from $45 to $55 for eligible candidates.
