Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment near Detroit, MI, where your expertise as a school psychologist will make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about empowering students and collaborating with dedicated colleagues. You'll play a central role in conducting evaluations across all grade levels, with a particular focus on elementary students. This collaborative team setting involves working alongside two skilled school psychologists, allowing you to share responsibilities and pool insights to provide comprehensive support. Your day-to-day will include making valuable observations within schools, developing targeted intervention recommendations, and participating actively as a member of IEP and student study teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification or license in Michigan (or eligibility) Previous experience in educational or clinical settings, especially with elementary students Strong understanding of assessments, direct services, and interventions Excellent collaboration and communication abilities Experience supporting IEP development and contributing to multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Complete psychoeducational evaluations, focusing on elementary but spanning all grade levels as needed Collaborate with fellow psychologists to share caseloads and expertise Observe students, engage with staff, and recommend intervention strategies tailored to specific needs Participate as a key member of IEP and student study teams, supporting students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in accordance with school and federal guidelines Imagine yourself thriving in a supportive community with motivated colleagues who share your commitment to student success.
