Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist or a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) that can specialize in adaptive skills development to join our multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health services, including psychological assessments, therapy, and behavioral interventions, tailored to individuals with diverse needs such as autism spectrum disorder, disabilities, and behavioral health challenges. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering patient-centered care through evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and crisis intervention, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives by fostering growth, resilience, and independence. Responsibilities Conduct psychological testing, diagnostic evaluations, and behavioral assessments to develop individualized treatment plans. Provide individual and group psychotherapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. Deliver specialized interventions for clients with autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, or other behavioral health conditions. Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and support teams to coordinate care plans and ensure continuity of services. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Participate in crisis intervention efforts to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes. Supervise clinical staff or interns as appropriate, fostering professional development and adherence to best practices. Conduct intake assessments for new clients to determine needs and appropriate service pathways. Engage in ongoing research activities or training to stay current with advancements in mental health treatment. Qualifications A valid license or certification as a Psychologist (Master's Degree) or QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional), with relevant experience in clinical settings. Demonstrated expertise in child & family counseling, working with children and individuals with disabilities. Experience with crisis intervention, hospital environments, telehealth platforms, and school-based programs. Proficiency in therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, and behavioral health interventions. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, medical records management, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluation procedures. Strong skills in patient assessment, intake processes, and patient care planning. Prior experience supervising staff or interns is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage diverse populations across inpatient and outpatient settings.
