High School Elementary School Psych - Melvindale, Michigan Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Melvindale, MI Job Details Contract 10 hours ago Qualifications School experience Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A rewarding opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support both elementary and high school students in a dynamic educational setting in Melvindale, MI. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with students, educators, and families to promote mental health and academic success within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to support student learning and well-being Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed Assist in developing strategies to improve classroom behavior and student engagement Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student support plans Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulationsDesired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist Experience working in both elementary and high school environments Strong knowledge of child development, psychological assessment tools, and intervention strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism Familiarity with education laws and special education processesLocation:
