Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role serving K-12 students for the 2026-2027 academic year as a school psychologist in Monroe County. This is a contract opportunity ideal for professionals passionate about supporting students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs in a vibrant educational environment. Four positions are available, providing coverage at several school sites and ensuring engagement with diverse student populations.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active Michigan School Psychologist license (license must be verifiable via the state credential search). Previous experience as a school psychologist is highly preferred. Commitment to full-time, onsite work throughout the academic year. Expertise in working with K-12 students, demonstrating adaptability across age groups and needs. Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and the delivery of assessments and interventions. High professional standards in maintaining student confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students across multiple campuses. Provide recommendations for interventions, supports, and placement in special education or related services. Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs). Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address learning and behavioral challenges. Offer crisis intervention, consult with staff on student concerns, and contribute to a positive school climate. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
