Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a real difference in students' lives while advancing your career as a school psychologist on a contract basis in the Pontiac, MI area. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive educational setting, offering specialized services to help students reach their full potential for the 2026-2027 school year, with placements available for psychologists seeking renewal opportunities.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in Michigan Experience conducting psychological evaluations, assessments, and interventions in K-12 settings Knowledge of state and federal regulations for special education and Section 504 Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Previous participation in IEP and eligibility meetings preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform psychoeducational assessments to support student academic, social, and emotional needs Participate in and contribute expertise during IEP, eligibility, and intervention meetings Provide individual and group counseling to address behavioral or psychological challenges Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement evidence-based interventions Assist in crisis situations and offer crisis intervention as needed Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements This contract position is ideal for professionals looking for flexibility and the chance for renewal placements in a welcoming school environment.
