Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract assignment providing essential psychological services to a diverse caseload ranging from birth through age 26 in a rural educational setting. This full-time opportunity runs from August 18th through June 4th, offering the unique experience of serving multiple schools and programs, making an impact on students' growth and success. Travel between locations within the district allows for a dynamic workday and the chance to support various age groups and needs.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field State certification or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist Experience working with populations from early childhood through young adulthood (birth-26 preferred) Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills Familiarity with IEP processes and multidisciplinary evaluation teams Excellent communication and organizational abilities Willingness to travel within a rural district
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments for students across a range of ages and abilities Interpret evaluation results and participate in eligibility and placement decisions Develop interventions and strategies to support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral development Consult with educators, families, and related service providers to create supportive learning environments Provide direct and indirect services according to students' IEPs and needs Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral planning, and program development as needed Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements This contract role promises professional growth, varied daily experiences, and the chance to positively impact students in a close-knit rural community.
