Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital support role where your expertise as a School Psychologist can positively shape the academic and emotional experience of students from PreK through 12th grade. Two immediate onsite contract opportunities are available for experienced school psychologists in the Pontiac area, offering a chance to serve elementary and middle school populations, with the potential for extended school year assignments. In this role, you will bring your training and compassion to a dynamic educational environment, providing assessment, intervention, and counseling services independently. With a flexible schedule aligned to the school day, you'll have the autonomy to design a workweek that complements your lifestyle while making a meaningful impact on the community.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Michigan School Psychologist license (please provide screenshot of current licensure; verify via Michigan Department of Education) Prior experience supporting PreK-12th grade students preferred Demonstrated skill in comprehensive psychological evaluation and helping implement interventions across various age groups Ability to work independently and proactively manage responsibilities Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and familiesKey Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and facilitate eligibility determinations for special education services Provide consultation to educators and families to maximize student success and well-being Implement evidence-based interventions and participate in crisis management when needed Document findings and maintain up-to-date student records in compliance with policy and privacy laws Support multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) within the school setting Benefits include a flexible schedule tailored around the school day, opportunities to work across diverse age groups, and professional autonomy in practice.
