Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives with a rewarding school-based position as a School Psychologist. This contract opportunity is located near Warren, MI, offering professionals an engaging environment supporting K-12 students' educational development and emotional well-being. This role is ideal for dedicated school psychologists passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution Valid and current School Psychologist certification/license in Michigan Experience conducting educational and psychological assessments Knowledge of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) Strong collaboration skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Exceptional organizational and communication abilities Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to guide educational planning Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans Offer crisis intervention and counseling for students as needed Provide recommendations and strategies to support positive behavioral interventions and academic achievement Support the district with consultation services for staff and families Document findings, maintain appropriate records, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines Take part in workshops, training sessions, and meetings to advance professional growth
