Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students within a rural community? A contract opportunity awaits for an experienced School Psychologist to support a wide age range, from birth up to 26 years old. The position is full-time and covers the academic year from August 18th through June 4th. This unique setting provides the chance to work across different schools and programs, requiring comfortable travel between sites in a rural environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification and licensure as a School Psychologist Proven expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling within school settings Familiarity with working with students from birth through age 26, covering diverse developmental stages and needs Ability to travel locally as part of day-to-day responsibilities Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Experience adapting to rural or multi-site educational environments a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments for students to identify strengths and areas for support Deliver direct intervention and consultation services in accordance with IEPs and school goals Collaborate with school staff and families to create effective support plans Contribute to student eligibility meetings, providing valuable input on educational accommodations Offer crisis intervention services when necessary Maintain organized records and documentation in compliance with all relevant guidelines and timelines This is an opportunity to broaden your professional scope and serve a diverse student population in close-knit rural communities.
