Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students across different educational settings near Big Lake, MN as a dedicated school psychologist. This full-time contract opportunity involves collaborating with elementary, high school, and non-public schools, providing a diverse and rewarding daily experience. Your expertise will guide academic, behavioral, and emotional support for students as you partner closely with staff and families to foster a positive learning environment.
Work Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 3:45pm.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid school psychologist certification or eligibility to apply through Minnesota's licensing system Experience in educational settings, ideally with services spanning multiple school ages Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and development of intervention strategies Excellent communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt practices for elementary, high school, and non-public school populations
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments Participate in eligibility, IEP, and intervention meetings Provide direct counseling and crisis support to students as needed Develop and implement individualized strategies and positive behavioral supports Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to design effective interventions Maintain timely, accurate documentation and comply with state and local procedures This contract position offers the chance to build meaningful relationships and make a difference in the lives of students at varied grade levels. If licensed in another state or new to Minnesota, you must be willing to apply for credentialing through the Minnesota licensing system. Interviews are available on Tuesday, June 16 (all day) and Wednesday, June 17 (morning: 8-10:30 am, or after 12 pm).
