Psychology Intern

Job Overview Overview Under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist and/or Social Worker, conducts initial and follow-up psychological, including cognitive, evaluations of patients referred for psychological services. Independently plans, organizes, implements and documents psychological interventions based on the results of psychological evaluations and in conjunction with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Responsibilities Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. Performs inpatient and outpatient consultations including chart review, assessment of cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and psychological aspects of the patient's needs and establishes appropriate goals for treatment with the patients, provides appropriate treatment, and reviews progress toward these goals. Develops liaison relationships with referring providers and participates in the programs of that specialty area, including collaborative rounding and multidisciplinary team meetings. Under supervision, supervises and trains Practicum students. Regularly attends and participates in the Psychology Training Committee. Actively participates in the quality improvement process. Actively participates in utilization review performance improvement Required Qualifications B.S./B.A. or

M.A./M.S.
