Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Minnesota is seeking a part time Research Interventionist for a newly funded clinical research study focused on eating behavior in children. This treatment study examines interventions targeting internal and external eating cues among children with high food responsiveness. The Research Interventionist will work directly with children ages 7-12 and their caregivers while administering one of four randomized treatment conditions. Responsibilities include delivering manualized behavioral interventions to child-parent dyads, maintaining accurate research documentation and protocol adherence, and collaborating closely with the research team and supervisors. This position provides excellent experience for individuals interested in clinical psychology, behavioral interventions, child psychopathology, or clinical careers, and applicants will receive training in both research and intervention-related tasks. The flexible scheduling and evening-based hours make this position particularly well suited for graduate students or trainees seeking hands-on clinical research experience alongside other academic or clinical commitments. Applicants should have an in-progress master's degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, behavioral sciences, or a related field, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and availability for weekday afternoons and early evenings.
