Prior computer experience required Knowledge of medical terminology preferred General knowledge of Accounts Receivable Vital sign measurement (training available) CNA experience preferred BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Job Responsibilities:
Provides patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. Greets patients, caregivers, and visitors to the department in a professional and friendly manner. Completes basic rooming standards per departmental guidelines such as obtaining height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure. Ensures accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Prepares patients for examination and procedures. Helps clinician or clinical support staff during patient exams or minor procedures. Cleans and restocks exam rooms. May order department supplies. Registers patients, sets up insurance, and verifies demographics each time a patient arrives at the clinic. Assists with processing patient paperwork, forms, and referrals. May schedule and verify patient appointments. Attends education and training seminars. Maintains a safe work environment and complies with standards for safe practice and standard precautions. Other duties as assigned.
