Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school psychologist, working between elementary, high school, and non-public school settings in the Saint Michael, MN, area. Embrace a varied day where your expertise helps shape a positive learning environment and guides students toward social, emotional, and academic success. This role follows a full-time schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, offering a unique chance to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals across different educational settings.
Key Qualifications:
Must hold (or be willing to obtain) proper licensure through Minnesota's licensing system for school psychologists Experience working as a School Psychologist, preferably in diverse school environments Strong understanding of psychological assessments, interventions, and data-driven decision-making Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively across multiple school sites and interact with students of varying ages
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and behavioral assessments for students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and support individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions Provide direct support and counseling to students, promoting positive mental health, social skills, and academic achievement Lead and participate in meetings, offering expertise on assessment results and strategies Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines Foster a supportive, inclusive, and empowering atmosphere for all students This contract position provides the chance to make a significant difference in students' lives while growing your professional skills in a collaborative educational setting.
