Back Resident North Mississippi Health Services Tupelo, MS, USA May 14, 2026 Job Description Must participate fully in assigned educational activities, including conferences, rotations, periodic testing, and advisor meetings. Will provide patient care under the supervision of a member of the Family Medicine faculty or other supervising licensed independent practitioner. Must treat each patient encountered and other personnel involved in care with respect, dignity, and compassion. The resident must take each available opportunity to become a more accomplished physician and must exhibit timely attendance at all required educational activities. Should effectively function as a member of various teams during all patient care and use good judgment and seek supervision when ordering tests and treatment for patients.

Qualifications :

Must be within two years of graduating from a LCME accredited medical school and obtain a temporary license from the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure.

Specify required education, licensure/certification, prior experience, skill, behavior, equipment operation, type and duration of on-the-job training, patient population to be served, etc. Knowledge of common medical problems of adults/children and the treatment of these problems. Knowledge of common surgical problems and of common gynecologic and obstetric problems and their treatment. Knowledge of common psychiatric and psychological problems and their treatment. Knowledge of common testing, including radiographic testing, and its application to the above clinical areas.
