Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting students' educational journeys through focused psychological evaluations during the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced School Psychologists seeking flexible, per-evaluation work in a collaborative environment. Running from August 4th, 2026, through June 30th, 2027, this as-needed position ensures you can maintain your professional practice while contributing meaningful assessments to a dedicated district team. You'll work closely with a psychometrist who conducts most assessments, allowing you to focus on essential eligibility evaluations, especially for Autism and EMD. Expect to handle a minimum of 4-5 cases per year, with at least five students already identified for re-evaluations. The district offers well-equipped testing spaces across three school buildings and employs the SPED Track IEP system—training for which will be provided.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid MS Teaching Certificate required before beginning evaluations Background as a School Psychologist, preferably in school settings Comfort with eligibility determinations for Autism and EMD populations Able to independently complete assessments, scoring, and detailed report writing Familiarity with IEP processes; SPED Track experience is a plus but not required
Responsibilities:
Perform student evaluations as assigned, focusing on Autism and EMD eligibilities Write comprehensive reports after each assessment (on-site testing; report writing may be completed from home) Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, with a preference for in-person but virtual attendance possible Collaborate with district psychometrist and special education teams Compensation for this role is based on experience, ranging from $200 to $250 for each evaluation completed.
