Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Take on a pivotal role dedicated to student success as a School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year in a supportive, forward-thinking educational setting. As a contract professional, you'll have the opportunity to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade across all 11 school sites within the district. Your skills in assessment, intervention, and advocacy will be truly valued here.
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and comprehensive evaluations for students grades K-12 Collaborate with educators, parents, and the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) team to facilitate student support plans Participate in eligibility determinations for special education and related services Deliver crisis intervention and prevention services as needed Provide consultative services and recommendations to school staff regarding student mental health, behavior, and learning needs Uphold confidentiality and adhere to state and federal regulations in all student interactions and reporting
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in School Psychology Current or pending licensure as a School Psychologist by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Licensed Psychological Associate credential Ideal candidates are adept at navigating multiple school sites, comfortable managing a diverse K-12 caseload, and committed to fostering positive student outcomes districtwide.
