Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school district in Fremont, NE is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support the educational and emotional development of students within the school setting. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in psychological assessment, counseling, and consultation to help enhance student success and well-being.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting psychological assessments to identify students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Providing counseling and intervention services to students requiring additional support Consulting with teachers and administrators to implement effective strategies for student learning and behavior management Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student progress Maintaining accurate records and adhering to confidentiality standards Qualifications and experience: Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure appropriate for the state of Nebraska Master's or specialist degree in School Psychology or related field Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and providing direct student interventions Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and counseling techniques Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
