Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a true difference in the lives of students while growing your expertise as a school psychologist. This contract opportunity near Peru, NE offers you the chance to support students, teachers, and families through your expert assessment, consultation, and intervention skills. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective strategies for student success, utilizing evidence-based practices in all aspects of your work. You'll conduct evaluations, facilitate IEP meetings, and provide counseling services, ensuring each student receives the guidance and support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience working in K-12 educational settings Strong knowledge of psychological testing and assessment tools Ability to write comprehensive psychoeducational reports Experience with IEPs, 504 plans, and Response to Intervention (RTI) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Passion for supporting student development and well-being
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and educational assessments for students as needed Support the development of IEPs and 504 plans by acquiring and interpreting data Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student needs Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress Guide preventative, crisis, and behavioral interventions within the school This role presents an exciting chance to make a positive impact while enjoying the flexibility and variety of contract work.
