Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type All Job Types Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential psychological and psychiatric support to students during the ESY (Extended School Year) program running from June 29 through July 23. This unique summer assignment is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in school psychology, psychiatric nursing, or public health psychology, eager to make a meaningful difference in an educational setting near Bloomfield, NJ. In this role, you'll deliver compassionate, expert care as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to student wellness and academic success in an ESY environment. You will have the chance to work with a diverse student population, developing skills in both intervention and collaborative problem-solving.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Valid certification or licensure relevant to your discipline (School Psychologist, Psychiatric RN, or Public Health Psychologist) Experience working with school-aged children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to develop and implement individualized support strategies Adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic summer program atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide therapeutic interventions for students participating in the ESY program Support educational teams in developing individualized plans and accommodations Collaborate with educators, families, and allied professionals to promote student well-being Deliver crisis intervention and consult on behavioral strategies as needed Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice Complete your summer by becoming a vital support for students needing expert psychological care in an educational environment.
