Licensed Clinical Psychologist Location:
West Trenton, NJ (Onsite)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30
PM Job Type:
Temp to Permanent Position Overview We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join an inpatient clinical setting in West Trenton, NJ. This is a full-time, onsite role focused on providing high-level direct psychological care, including psychotherapy, assessments, and risk evaluations. This position operates under the general supervision of the Administrator of Psychological Services (or designee) within a state hospital setting. The role is primarily clinical (non-administrative) , with potential opportunities to supervise interns or trainees.
Compensation Temporary Period:
Competitive hourly rate ($85 - $90/hour)
Permanent Placement Salary Range:
$108,190.67 - $148,000 annually , based on experience and facility offer Candidates should be presented with the full salary range (not a fixed rate) Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group psychotherapy services Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations Perform suicide and violence risk assessments Utilize structured assessment tools such as:
HCR-20 SAPROF SVR-20 STATIC-99
Other cognitive and forensic assessment measures Develop, implement, and evaluate psychological treatment programs Provide direct, high-level clinical services to patients and residents in an inpatient setting Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and participate in case conferences Supervise psychology trainees and/or unlicensed psychology staff, if assigned Contribute to program development, evaluation, and research activities Represent psychology services in interactions with other professionals, agencies, and the community Participate in institutional programming and administrative functions as needed Provide testimony in civil commitment and/or superior court hearings when required Complete performance evaluations for supervised staff Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology Active Clinical Psychologist license in the State of New Jersey Experience in inpatient, psychiatric, forensic, or institutional settings preferred Familiarity or experience with structured risk assessment tools (HCR-20, SAPROF, SVR-20, STATIC-99, etc.) strongly preferred Strong skills in assessment, psychotherapy, and clinical documentation Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Employee Benefits (Upon Permanent Placement) Comprehensive benefits package includes: Pension plan Deferred compensation options Medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility Tuition reimbursement• Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) 13 paid holidays Paid leave: 12 vacation days 15 sick days 3 administrative leave days
