Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, providing essential support during a leave coverage period running from September 1st, 2026, through December 23rd, 2026. This full-time role is part of a dedicated Child Study Team, where you will work closely with approximately 40 students in grades 6-8. This is a chance to have a direct impact on students' educational and emotional success in a collaborative school environment near the New Brunswick, NJ area.
Key Qualifications:
Valid New Jersey certification as a School Psychologist (required) Experience working within schools, particularly with grades 6-8, is highly valued Strong assessment, counseling, and report-writing abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills as a contributing member of a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret findings for students in need Participate actively as a member of the Child Study Team to support students' individual learning plans Offer individual and group counseling as appropriate to address students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to foster student growth and well-being Contribute detailed reports and recommendations for educational planning and interventions This contract position runs full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, providing the opportunity to work in a supportive and professional academic setting.
