We're seeking a dedicated individual with expertise in school psychology, psychiatric nursing, or public health psychology for a short-term, Extended School Year (ESY) program. This opportunity is located in the lively area near Newark, NJ, and runs from June 29th through July 23rd, offering the chance to work with a diverse student population during an impactful summer session.
Ideal qualifications include:
Valid certification as a School Psychologist, psychiatric RN license, or Public Health Psychologist credentials Prior experience in a school or educational environment preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with developing and implementing individual education and intervention plans Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis management abilities Key responsibilities: Provide psychological and behavioral support to students during ESY sessions Conduct assessments, create reports, and recommend strategies for student success Collaborate with teachers and staff to address academic, emotional, and behavioral needs Support a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment Participate in team meetings and contribute professional expertise Communicate effectively with caregivers and staff on student progress This dynamic summer assignment offers valuable experience within an active school community, with flexible scheduling options.
