Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting students in grades 6-8 as a School Psychologist, providing essential leave coverage from September 1 through December 23. As a valued member of the Child Study Team, you'll be instrumental in promoting student well-being and academic progress, working collaboratively in a supportive middle school environment. This contracted, full-time opportunity spans Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, giving you the chance to make a real difference in the lives of approximately 40 students during a crucial time in their educational journey.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must hold a valid New Jersey School Psychologist certification Prior experience working in middle school settings preferred Familiarity with school-based psychological assessments and interventions Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families Ability to effectively manage diverse caseloads and adapt to evolving needs
Key Responsibilities:
Participate actively as a Child Study Team member, conducting assessments and developing student plans Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed Consult with faculty and parents regarding student progress and strategies for support Document findings, maintain records, and ensure timely completion of required reports Contribute to meetings and intervention planning for both general education and special education students This rewarding position offers a competitive hourly rate of $50-55, reflecting your expertise and commitment to student success.
