Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school psychologist opportunity is available in Trenton, NJ, supporting the educational and emotional needs of students within a school setting. This role involves collaboration with educators, parents, and staff to develop comprehensive strategies that promote student success and well-being. Occasional travel to neighboring schools or related facilities may be required.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience conducting psychological assessments and evaluations in academic environments Strong skills in counseling, behavioral intervention, and crisis management Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and other professionals Knowledge of applicable educational laws and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations to identify student needs and support development Develop and implement intervention plans and behavioral strategies Provide individual and group counseling services to students Collaborate with school staff to create supportive educational environments Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP planning Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly Maintain accurate records and prepare reports consistent with district and legal requirements
