Job Description

Category Schools - Educational Diagnostician Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for an Educational Diagnostician seeking a full-time contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is based near Edgewood, NM and focuses on serving students in grades K-8 in an itinerant capacity. Experience the satisfaction of supporting student success as you provide vital assessment and evaluation services to a diverse school community. Responsibilities include traveling between school sites to assist with assessments, conducting educational evaluations, and actively participating in IEP meetings. As part of a collaborative educational team, you will work closely with special education staff, teachers, and administrators to support students' learning needs and play a key role in shaping individualized education programs. Qualified applicants will demonstrate expertise and enthusiasm for working in a school setting and possess:
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Valid New Mexico Educational Diagnostician PED credential (must be held at the time of application) Previous experience in conducting educational assessments and evaluations within K-8 settings is highly preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability and willingness to collaborate in a team environment Strong understanding of current best practices in special education evaluation and compliance Commitment to meeting timelines and fulfilling documentation requirements with accuracy and thoroughness
