Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school psychologist position is available in Laguna, NM, supporting both Extended School Year (ESY) and the regular school year. This contract role is suited for a licensed psychologist with experience in educational evaluations and special education services.
Responsibilities include:
Providing counseling services to students during ESY and throughout the school year Conducting psychoeducational evaluations for Special Education eligibility and Gifted and Talented program determination Maintaining and submitting required service logs and documentation Participating in and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Collaborating with staff to offer general psychological support within the school community The role begins June 1, 2026, with ESY counseling services during June requiring availability about once per week for approximately four hours. Following ESY, services will continue from August 2026 through June 2027, with a schedule of 2-3 days per week, approximately six hours per day.
Ideal candidates will:
Hold a current psychologist license Have experience conducting psychological and educational evaluations Be knowledgeable in IEP development and special education processes Be familiar with or open to working within the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) system Exhibit strong organizational skills for managing evaluations, documentation, and compliance This opportunity provides meaningful work supporting students' educational and emotional needs.
