Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Advance your career as a dedicated school psychologist working on a contract basis near Mescalero, NM. Here, your expertise will make a meaningful impact as you support the needs of students, collaborating closely with educators and families to ensure every young person receives comprehensive, compassionate care.
Essential Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in School Psychology Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist Experience conducting assessments, interpreting data, and developing intervention plans for students Proficient in administering and analyzing psychometric and behavioral evaluations Strong communication and collaboration skills for teamwork across multidisciplinary settings Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, RTI/MTSS, and special education practices Previous experience in K-12 environments preferred
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Perform psychological assessments to inform instructional planning and interventions Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services as needed Serve as a resource for faculty, staff, and families regarding student support best practices Keep accurate, confidential records and contribute to compliance with state/federal guidelines Support initiatives that promote positive school climate and enhance educational outcomes
