Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal school-based role where your expertise will actively shape student success and well-being. This full-time, contract School Psychologist position is open to immediate start and for the next school year, with the opportunity for candidates actively pursuing licensure to apply. In this dynamic environment, you'll work closely under the guidance of the Director of Special Education, directly impacting the support and development of students across all grades. What you'll bring: Master's degree (M.A., M.S., or M.Ed.) in School Psychology or related field School Psychologist certification (or eligibility if licensure in progress) At least three years of broad experience supporting students at every grade level Strong skills in diagnostics, evaluation, and student counseling Key responsibilities: Conduct timely psychological evaluations and craft thorough reports for students referred by school staff or parents Hold meetings with families to discuss evaluation outcomes and next steps Observe students in classroom settings to help inform functional action plans Complete a variety of student assessments, including those for early childhood Serve as a resource for teachers and staff, helping translate evaluations into practical strategies for student learning Actively participate as a member of committees (e.g., CSE, CPSE, Section 504) Review psychoeducational records from external institutions Provide individual and small-group counseling on a short-term basis Respond to student crises and consult with school counselors during emergencies Refer students and families to appropriate community resources as needed Maintain strict confidentiality and foster positive relationships across your network Take on additional tasks as designated by the Director of Special Education Ready to drive positive change for students and collaborate with a passionate team?
