CPSE/CSE
Psychological Evaluator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for children within the Child and Student Support Programs (CPSE) and Committee on Special Education (CSE). Your expertise will help identify developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs, guiding tailored intervention strategies to support student success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive appropriate educational and therapeutic services. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychological testing, diagnostic evaluations, and behavioral assessments for children and adolescents. Collaborate with educators, parents, healthcare providers, and case managers to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet each student's unique needs. Provide expert clinical insights during
CPSE/CSE
meetings to recommend appropriate services, accommodations, and interventions. Skills Extensive experience in child & family counseling, school psychology, or related fields. Strong skills in patient assessment, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluation. Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Familiarity with special education processes, including IEP development and implementation. Expertise in behavioral management techniques and social work principles applied within educational settings. Excellent medical terminology knowledge along with experience handling medical records and documentation. Qualifications New York State Licensed Psychologist or school psychologist Experience working with young children preferred. Knowledge of CPSE/early childhood evaluations preferred. Strong report writing and communication skills. Bilingual is a plus
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations for preschool-aged children. Complete evaluation reports in a timely manner. Participate in the CPSE evaluation process as needed. Maintain compliance with New York State and county requirements.
