Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students from kindergarten through twelfth grade as a dedicated School Psychologist in the Newark, OH area. This contract opportunity welcomes both full-time and part-time candidates, making it an ideal fit for professionals seeking flexibility while advancing their experience in an educational setting. Your expertise will be utilized in an itinerant capacity, working across multiple sites to ensure comprehensive support for students. Responsibilities center on conducting thorough evaluations, participating in IEP meetings, and collaborating closely with educators, families, and the students themselves to foster a positive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Ohio School Psychologist Certification (required) Background providing psychological services in K-12 educational settings Strong skills in evaluation, assessment, and intervention development Experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams Ability to communicate clearly with staff, parents, and students Adaptability and professionalism while traveling between sites
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students across elementary, middle, and high school levels Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, assisting with plan development and progress monitoring Build collaborative relationships with school staff, administrators, and families Deliver support in an itinerant model, addressing the diverse needs of various student populations Offer consultation and guidance to educators on effective strategies for student success Compensation for this role ranges from $45 to $53 per hour. In addition, eligible candidates may take advantage of comprehensive healthcare benefits, along with housing and meals/incidentals support.
