Psychologist Sojourn at Seneca Behavioral Hospital 50 Saint Lawrence Drive, Tiffin, OH 44883 Per diem Per diem The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.
SUMMARY:
The psychologist will be responsible for studying mental processes and behavior, assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct psychological assessments and provide treatment for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes. Help clients define goals and plan actions to achieve personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment. Monitor clients' progress through regular meetings or sessions. Teach classes, conduct research, and publish findings to increase understanding of mental, emotional, and behavioral states and disorders. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients. Stay up to date with developments in psychology by attending professional workshops, reading professional publications, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven work experience as a psychologist. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build trust with a wide range of people. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of various therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities. Experience in counseling individuals, families, couples, or groups. Doctorate in Psychology. Licensed to practice psychology in the state.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
Willing to work beyond normal working hours and during disastrous circumstances, as needed. Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and outside agencies and to collaborate cooperatively with other associates. Ability to present to groups. Ability to remain calm under stress. Ability to communicate with local staff, remote staff, and outside agencies.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Understand, comply with, and promote rules regarding residents' rights. Maintain an orderly, confidential, and safe work environment. Adhere to all Company and departmental policies and procedures. Practice universal precautions at all times. Perform other duties as assigned.
