Pediatric Psychologist Opportunities Pediatric | Adolescent | Neurodevelopmental Focus Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health Oklahoma City Position Overview The Behavioral Health Center at Oklahoma Children's Hospital, part of OU Health, is seeking doctoral-level Psychologists to join its expanding multidisciplinary team. The program is currently recruiting psychologists with one or more of the following clinical focus areas: Pediatric Psychology Adolescent Behavioral Health Neurodevelopmental Disorders Depending on the candidate's expertise and interests, the role may focus on assessment and treatment across pediatric behavioral health settings, including inpatient services, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient specialty clinics. Oklahoma's only academic health system Mission-drivenanization focused on patient care, education, and research Collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment Strong institutional support for teaching, research, and innovation Faculty appointment opportunity within the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine Located in Oklahoma City, a vibrant and affordable metro with a high quality of life Clinical Responsibilities Responsibilities will vary based on the psychologist's area of focus (Pediatric, Adolescent, or Neurodevelopmental) and may include: Provide psychological and behavioral health services for children and adolescents Conductprehensive psychological, developmental, diagnostic, and risk assessments Provide individual, family, and group-based therapeutic interventions Facilitate evidence-based therapy groups (e.g., DBT, CBT) Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization services in acute behavioral health settings Provide ongoing therapy services for patients and families Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and treatment planning Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals Develop and disseminate psychoeducational resources for patients and families Complete clinical documentation within 48 hours of services rendered Maintain required continuing education credits per Oklahoma licensure standards Administrative Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality behavioral health services Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development Support the development and coordination of psychological and behavioral health services Build partnerships withmunity behavioral healthanizations Ensurepliance with OU Health policies and Medicaid requirements Lead team meetings and care coordination efforts Academic & Teaching Responsibilities Eligible for faculty appointment in the Departments of Pediatrics and/or Psychiatry Supervise and mentor psychology practicum students, interns, and residents Participate in trainee evaluations and educational programming Teach and provide research supervision to medical residents and students Collaborate on extramural funding opportunities Serve as Principal Investigator on IRB-approved research projects Present and publish scholarly work at local and national levels Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical, Counseling, School, or Pediatric Psychology Completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Health Service Psychologist in Oklahoma Postdoctoral training in pediatric psychology, child/adolescent psychology, neurodevelopmental disorders, or acute behavioral health preferred Experience with psychological and developmental assessment Training in evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT) Experience working with children, adolescents, and families Background in integrated or hospital-based care settings preferred Interest or experience in research, teaching, or program development Commitment to the missions of clinical care, education, and research Take the Next Step Join the growing behavioral health services at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health, including the new Behavioral Health Center on the OU Health campus, a state-of-the-art facility designed to deliverprehensive behavioral health care across the continuum for children and adolescents.
