Job Description

Full Time Day Shift Full-time (80 hours biweekly) Weekdays, daytime hours → Focused on Psychological Testing ← Get to know us! Located in Lancaster County, the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) is the regional center of excellence serving patients and families in Central Pennsylvania. We have a multidisciplinary team (from the fields of psychiatry, nursing, psychology, applied behavior analysis, social work, and counseling) with recognized expertise in the treatment of the social, emotional, and behavioral issues affecting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disability (ID). We offer center-based services, which include diagnostic evaluations, short-term consultation and ongoing treatment as well as community-based ABA services for adults. General Summary CADD is seeking to enhance our diagnostic and treatment services by developing a comprehensive testing service for children, adolescents and adults with autism, intellectual disability and other neurodevelopmental disorders. We are looking for talented candidates with cognitive, adaptive and autism testing experience to partner with us in this innovative effort. As members of the diagnostic evaluation team, psychologists work closely with others to ensure an accurate and efficient experience for those being evaluated. Our evaluation process utilizes a mixture of semi-structured clinical examinations, relevant standardized tools and psychological testing measures. Members of the diagnostic team support the individual and their family in understanding the diagnostic outcome and thoughtful recommendations for next steps.
Essential Functions:
  • Provides psychological evaluation and testing services in a multidisciplinary environment, including recommendations for referral sources related to diagnosis (DSM, ICD) and clinical interventions. Communicates findings to clients, referral sources and other relevant parties.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations as part of the CADD diagnostic team
  • Provides all necessary documentation to reflect patient care status and to meet regulatory requirements, completing documentation within organizational timeframes.
  • Coordinates care of assigned patients with treatment team members and other providers, agencies, or referral sources as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates conduct that is ethical and professional. Operates within relevant laws.
  • Responds sensitively to issues of individual and cultural diversity in practice.
  • Complies with WellSpan Health Code of Conduct.
Common Expectations:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment.
  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in professional trainings and keeping current in the professional literature.
  • Participates in administrative, clinical, outcomes, performance improvement and/or customer satisfaction projects/ assignments as needed, designed to improve quality.
  • Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork and positive peer and interdisciplinary work relationships; practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
  • Actively manages work schedule to maintain expected levels of productivity.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
Doctorate From psychology educational program and completion of a one-year doctoral psychology internship program required
Work Experience:
1 year Psychology internship training experience required
Licenses:
Licensed Psychologist Upon Hire Required Courses and Training:
Must have completed a psychology doctoral degree and one-year doctoral psychology internship program upon hire required and Must provide clearance per the Child Protective Services Law amended by PA Act 33 of 1985 upon hire required
