Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a School Psychologist for the 2026-27 academic year, working full-time near Scranton, PA. In this vital role, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to support students' emotional, academic, and social needs.
Key Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania School Psychologist Certification— this is required Previous experience as a School Psychologist working in school settings preferred Comprehensive understanding of psychological evaluations, counseling, and intervention strategies in K-12 environments Excellent communication skills for working with students, teachers, and families Strong documentation and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for individual students Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs, 504 plans, and student interventions Consult with teachers, administrations, and parents to support students' academic and mental health needs Provide short-term individual and group counseling as needed Participate in eligibility meetings, staffings, and professional development sessions Assist in crisis response and prevention programs within the school community This role promises a fulfilling chance to apply your clinical and consultative expertise in a supportive educational setting.
