Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Experience a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the academic and emotional development of students as a School Psychologist. In this engaging role, you'll provide your expertise to an elementary school serving a diverse group of 500-600 students, including those in emotional and autistic support classrooms. The setting utilizes the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and the primary responsibilities focus on conducting comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations. Flexible scheduling is available—while a full-time commitment is preferred, part-time candidates and those interested in a hybrid on-site/remote model are also encouraged to apply. This position is ideal for professionals who appreciate a supportive educational environment and are eager to make a difference in children's lives.
Desired skills and background:
Active certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Previous experience working in elementary-level school settings preferred Strong grasp of MTSS frameworks and practices Skilled in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations Knowledge of special education processes, including emotional and autism support Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities Primary responsibilities: Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students, focusing on academic, emotional, and behavioral needs Participate in MTSS problem-solving meetings and contribute to intervention strategies Prepare detailed assessment reports and communicate findings to educational teams and parents Provide consultation and support for classroom staff and families Support the development and implementation of IEPs, as appropriate This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexibility in your working arrangement.
