Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Bilingual Licensed Specialist in School Psychology to join our dedicated educational team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, families, and school staff, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Your expertise will help identify student needs, develop tailored interventions, and promote positive behavioral and emotional growth. Fluency in both languages is essential to effectively serve diverse student populations and foster strong communication with families. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with varying abilities and backgrounds. Duties Conduct psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing, to determine student needs and eligibility for special education services. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on social-emotional development, behavioral health, and coping strategies for students with disabilities or developmental challenges. Perform crisis intervention and safety planning to support students experiencing emotional or behavioral crises. Collaborate with teachers, parents, social workers, and healthcare providers to coordinate case management and ensure comprehensive support for students. Facilitate early intervention programs and conduct intake assessments for new students requiring psychological services. Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies to promote positive student outcomes. Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and detailed notes on patient care activities while adhering to confidentiality standards. Develop safety plans and conduct conflict management interventions as needed to ensure a secure school environment. Engage in ongoing professional development related to school psychology, special education laws, medical terminology, and crisis management strategies. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), early intervention programs, and medical documentation practices. Competence in working with students across diverse backgrounds while demonstrating sensitivity to cultural differences. Strong organizational skills for maintaining medical records, documentation of patient care activities, and case management tasks.
