Job Description

We are seeking qualified Clinical Psychologists to provide behavioral health consults in support of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) waiver review process. This is a fully remote role where providers will conduct virtual assessments, review medical documentation, and produce clinical recommendations that directly support accession decisions. Position availability is based on successful contract award. Key Responsibilities Conduct behavioral health consults for applicants as part of the medical waiver process Review applicant medical and behavioral health documentation within systems such as Recruiter Zone and
MHS GENESIS
prior to consults Perform comprehensive clinical interviews via secure virtual platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams Army 365 or approved systems) Complete detailed clinical reports addressing referral questions and waiver considerations Convert reports to PDF with electronic signature and upload to the appropriate system within required timelines (typically within 72 business hours) Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all consult activity, including updating tracking systems and appointment statuses Identify and communicate applicant no-shows and coordinate rescheduling as required Ensure compliance with all applicable accession standards, including DoDI 6130.03 and

Maintain proficiency in required systems and complete all mandatory training (e.g., HIPAA, Cyber Awareness, EMR systems) Participate in meetings, trainings, and group consultations as needed Submit required administrative documentation, including timesheets and activity tracking updates Support monthly reporting requirements, including workload summaries and operational updates Maintain proper handling and safeguarding of protected health information (PHI) in accordance with federal regulations Minimum Qualifications Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology Graduate of an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited program Completion of an APA-accredited internship with supervised clinical experience Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice psychology in any U.S. state or territory Ability to maintain licensure in good standing throughout the duration of the contract Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills Experience conducting behavioral health evaluations and writing comprehensive clinical reports Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting strict timelines Additional Requirements Familiarity with military medical accession standards and waiver processes preferred Experience working with electronic medical records and virtual care platforms Ability to manage a consistent consult schedule (typically 4-6 consults per 8-hour workday) Willingness to comply with credentialing and primary source verification requirements in accordance with DHA policies Maintain all required credentials, documentation, and competency records Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) Work Environment This is a remote position . Candidates must have a secure, private workspace, reliable internet connection, and the ability to support virtual clinical interactions during standard EST business hours.
