In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for veterans applying for disability benefits, providing critical insights into their mental health status. Your expertise will directly impact the accuracy and fairness of disability ratings, ensuring veterans receive the support they deserve. This position offers an engaging opportunity to apply your clinical skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to meaningful outcomes for those who have served. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations, psychological testing, and behavioral health screenings for veterans seeking VA disability benefits. Perform intake interviews and gather detailed patient histories to inform accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations. Administer and interpret various psychological tests related to PTSD, cognitive functioning, autism spectrum disorders, addiction, and other mental health conditions. Develop comprehensive reports summarizing findings, diagnoses, and functional impairments aligned with VA standards. Collaborate with medical records teams to ensure documentation complies with HIPAA regulations and maintains confidentiality. Provide expert opinions on mental health conditions affecting veterans' ability to work or perform daily activities through individual or group counseling sessions when necessary. Maintain timely communication with VA officials and adhere to all protocols related to telehealth or in-person evaluations, ensuring high-quality patient care. Qualifications Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.

D.) from an accredited institution. Valid license to practice psychology in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Proven experience conducting psychological assessments, including diagnostic testing and behavioral health evaluations. Strong background in PTSD care, crisis intervention, and working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism spectrum disorder. Experience with hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or inpatient facilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and telehealth platforms. Demonstrated skills in child & family counseling, working with children and geriatrics, addiction counseling, and psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Supervisory experience or background overseeing clinical staff is a plus but not required. Excellent communication skills for detailed report writing and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
