In this role, you will provide high-quality psychotherapy services through a flexible combination of in-person and telehealth sessions, ensuring accessible and effective care for diverse client populations. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy modalities tailored to individual client needs Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on issues such as trauma (including PTSD), grief, addiction recovery, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, chronic pain management, and behavioral challenges Implement crisis intervention strategies promptly and effectively during urgent situations to ensure client safety and stability Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology accurately for clinical notes and reports Collaborate with case managers, medical professionals, educators, and families to coordinate comprehensive care plans for clients with complex needs Utilize telehealth platforms proficiently to deliver remote therapy sessions while ensuring confidentiality and technical security standards are upheld Experience Proven experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on behavioral health or mental health counseling Demonstrated expertise in working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics across diverse clinical populations Familiarity with crisis management protocols and behavior management techniques for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Hands-on experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding systems and managing medical documentation accurately Strong background in delivering evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, trauma-informed care including PTSD treatment, and social work practices Telehealth experience is highly preferred to facilitate flexible service delivery models while maintaining high standards of patient care Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions and familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements is essential Experience working within hospital or clinic environments is advantageous to understand integrated patient care workflows
Competitive Compensation Range:
As this is a contractual role, compensation will be provided per completed session with accompanying notes, at a rate of 60% of service fee.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
Master's/doctorate in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required Licensed in Maryland to provide Mental health treatment Psychotherapy experience in a community setting preferred Background Check Highly organized and possesses time management
