Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary mental health team within a correctional setting. The psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and consultation, while supporting the mental health and well-being of the inmate population. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality behavioral health services in a structured and collaborative environment. Minimum Qualifications (Must-Haves) Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.

D.) in Psychology from an accredited college or university. Current, unrestricted license to practice Psychology in the State of Kansas. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience , including at least 1 year in a comparable psychologist role . Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) Prior experience in Corrections, Detention, or Institutional Settings . Experience working with diverse populations and managing crisis situations. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychological screenings, assessments, and clinical interviews based on available records and patient evaluations. Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and level of functioning. Provide individual counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health services to inmates/residents. Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, mental health professionals, and security staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Conduct regular rounds in segregation and restricted housing units to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs. Evaluate and address behavioral concerns, mental health crises, and psychological conditions through evidence-based interventions. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case consultations. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. Support staff development, consultation, and mental health program initiatives as needed. Required Skills Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies. Excellent crisis management and de-escalation skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care. Work Environment Secure correctional facility setting. Fast-paced, collaborative behavioral health environment.
