  • Part-time, Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical mental health services, with expertise in psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and crisis management. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in individuals' lives by providing comprehensive mental health care across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. The therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapies within a supportive and professional environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs using appropriate medical terminology and documentation standards. Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure patient safety and manage urgent mental health concerns effectively. Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate patient care goals, case management strategies, and community-based support services. Collect and analyze data related to patient progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in case management activities that coordinate care with other healthcare providers, schools, or community agencies for patients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Facilitate specialized therapies including PTSD care, addiction counseling, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of all clinical encounters in accordance with healthcare standards such as ICD coding (ICD-9/10) and CPT coding for billing purposes. Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance mental health practices and contribute to evidence-based treatment development. Promote a positive therapeutic environment that encourages patient engagement, resilience building, and recovery. Experience Proven experience providing psychotherapy or clinical counseling within behavioral health settings. Demonstrated proficiency in crisis management and crisis intervention techniques across diverse populations. Familiarity with working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding (CPT), and HIPAA compliance for medical documentation. Experience conducting intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and applying evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or psychodynamic therapy. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a client-centered approach focused on patient care excellence.
