Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a fully licensed licensed clinician to join our practice as a W-2 employee. This is a fully compensated role — you will be paid for both your clinical hours (direct client care) and your non-clinical hours (documentation, supervision, meetings, and training). You will carry a manageable caseload aligned with your licensure and clinical interests, with the support of a collaborative team and experienced clinical leadership. A Note on Our W-2 Model Unlike 1099 contractor arrangements common in group practices, this is a W-2 employment position. That means you receive payroll tax withholding, FLSA protections, access to employer benefits, and paid non-clinical time — not just a per-session rate. We believe this model creates a more sustainable, professional, and equitable practice environment. Clinical Duties Carry an assigned caseload of individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy clients consistent with your licensure, training, and the practice's service offerings. Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT, EMDR — as applicable to your training). Provide ongoing therapy services and adjust treatment plans in response to client progress and clinical need. Identify and respond appropriately to client crises, including completing safety planning and risk assessments as needed. Fulfill all mandatory reporting obligations under Louisiana law (child abuse, elder/dependent adult abuse) promptly and document all reports. Coordinate care with outside providers, psychiatrists, and community resources as clinically indicated. Maintain clinical competency within your scope of practice and license type (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or provisional equivalent). Documentation & Administrative Duties Non-clinical administrative time is compensated as part of your scheduled hours. The following tasks are expected within that paid time: Complete progress notes within 24-48 hours of each session using our EHR system. Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records including treatment plans, updated consent forms, release of information documentation, and discharge summaries. Ensure all documentation supports the CPT code billed and accurately reflects the session content, duration, and clinical interventions used. Respond to client messages, coordination requests, and internal communications in a timely manner. Complete required paperwork for insurance credentialing, prior authorizations, and treatment reviews as assigned. Professional Development Participate in team consultation meetings. Complete continuing education requirements for Louisiana license renewal. Engage proactively in professional development, training, and clinical skill-building opportunities. Raise clinical, ethical, and compliance concerns with the Clinical Director promptly and in good faith. Team & Practice Participation Attend all-team meetings and practice events as scheduled. Collaborate respectfully with colleagues. Adhere to all practice policies, including the Employee Handbook, HIPAA policies, and applicable Louisiana licensing board rules. Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and professionally excellent practice culture. Requirements Active Louisiana licensure appropriate for independent practice (e.g. LCSW, LMFT, or LPC) Master's degree (or higher) in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related mental health field from an accredited program. Demonstrated ability to carry an independent caseload and provide culturally responsive, evidence-based therapy. Working knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and mandatory reporting obligations under Louisiana law. Ability to complete progress notes within 24-48 hours and maintain accurate clinical records. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfort with EHR-based documentation and telehealth platforms.
