Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist in the vibrant Chattanooga area. This full-time position spans the upcoming academic year, from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week. Assignments will vary between schools, ensuring a diverse and engaging professional experience. While specific caseload details and age groups will be clarified as the district finalizes enrollment, you'll be instrumental in providing assessment, intervention, and consultation services for students — making a real difference in their educational journey.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, active Department of Education certification required. Demonstrated experience as a School Psychologist; eligible candidates will be licensed and credentialed. Ability to complete required fingerprinting as part of time-sensitive credentialing. Flexibility and initiative to work in varying school environments. Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to educational planning. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success. Provide counseling, behavioral support, and crisis intervention as needed. Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with district and legal requirements. Serve multiple campuses, with assignments tailored to district needs.
