Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract A School Psychologist position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Tumwater, WA, offering a hybrid work schedule. This contracted role balances onsite responsibilities with remote work flexibility, designed to support the educational and psychological needs of students. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychological assessments onsite to evaluate students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs. The role requires collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide recommendations based on assessment findings. While assessments must be completed in person, report writing and potentially IEP meetings can be conducted remotely, supporting a balanced professional schedule.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field. Valid and current School Psychologist certification/license for the state of Washington. Experience administering and interpreting a wide range of psychoeducational assessments. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP development. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, parents, and school staff. Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidentiality.Location:
