Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based environment as a School Psychologist, where your expertise will directly influence the well-being and growth of students at the elementary level. This contract opportunity welcomes both full-time and part-time professionals who are passionate about making a difference, and also offers the flexibility of a potential hybrid schedule. As the primary psychological support in a vibrant elementary building serving 500-600 students—including dedicated emotional and autistic support classes—you'll collaborate closely with educators, specialists, and families. The school's commitment to implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) further enhances the collaborative and student-centered approach.
Qualifications or Preferred Experience:
Pennsylvania School Psychologist certification or eligibility Prior experience with elementary-aged students, particularly in settings with emotional and autistic support, is preferred Strong skills in assessment, conducting both initial and re-evaluations Familiarity or interest in working within an MTSS framework Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
Role Responsibilities:
Lead comprehensive student evaluations and re-evaluations, delivering clear, actionable reports Participate in MTSS teams and collaborate to support a diverse range of learners Consult with teachers, staff, and families to develop strategies enhancing academic, emotional, and behavioral outcomes Support implementation of targeted interventions within emotional and autistic support classes Maintain thorough, timely records aligned with federal, state, and school policies This is an outstanding chance to positively shape the academic and social journey of young learners in a supportive setting where your professional insight is highly valued.
